Overview
Vertical, multistage centrifugal pump with suction and discharge ports on the same level, so it drops into a straight pipe run. Pump head and base are cast 316 stainless steel (ASTM A351 CF8M) with AISI 316 chambers, impellers and shaft; the cast iron loose flange rings and base plate do not touch the pumped liquid.
The CRN 95 frame is rated at 500 GPM. The family number is Grundfos’s nominal duty in cubic metres per hour, not a GPM figure — size the pump from the performance table below, not from the model number.
20 models are offered, from CRN 95-1-1 to CRN 95-8, covering 15 to 125 HP on NEMA C-face TEFC motors (three-phase). Models with a -1, -2 or -3 suffix use that many reduced-diameter impellers to trim head between full stage counts. Connections are 4 in ANSI flanges (150 lb or 300 lb class, by model), or 4 in Victaulic-type grooved couplings.
CRN 90 drop-in replacement: options marked "CRN 90 Drop-in" are CRN 95 pumps built to the installation dimensions of the discontinued CRN 90, so they replace an existing CRN 90 without re-piping. Choose them only when replacing a CRN 90; otherwise choose the standard CRN 95.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Each part number is a complete pump: pump end, motor, coupling, coupling guard and cartridge shaft seal, factory assembled.
Not included: ANSI companion flanges or Victaulic couplings (4 in) — order separately. Motor starter or VFD, overload protection, pressure switch or sensor, isolation valves, check valve and foundation bolts are also not included.
To run it needs: a three-phase supply matching the motor voltage shown in the selected option, a correctly sized starter with overload protection, flooded suction or adequate NPSH, and a level, rigid foundation. Grundfos requires the 100, 125 HP models to be started through a soft starter or variable speed drive. These are fixed-speed pumps; for integrated variable-speed control see the CRE range.

Performance — Will It Do What You Need
Find the head you need in feet at your flow and pick the first model that meets it. Points are read from the Grundfos 60 Hz curve for each model at 20%, 50% and 75% of its maximum flow; shut-off is the head at zero flow, not a working point.

HQQE — EPDM. Silicon-carbide faces with EPDM rubber, −4 °F to 248 °F. The standard water seal: potable water, hot water and glycol. Not for mineral oils.

Before You BuyConfirm the duty point against the performance table, and confirm horsepower, voltage and motor enclosure against your site. Check that liquid temperature and system pressure sit inside the limits for the seal and connection selected, and order 4 in ANSI companion flanges or Victaulic couplings separately. Choose a CRN 90 Drop-in option only when replacing an existing CRN 90.
