Overview

Grade 42 Buna-N gaskets resist oil, most aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, natural gas fogging oil, condensates and gasoline. They replace the standard Grade 27 gasket in Style 38 and 40 couplings on lines carrying those contents.

Application: Oil, fuel, condensate and hydrocarbon lines, and gas lines with fogging oil.

  • Wedge gaskets for Dresser Style 38 and Style 40 bolted couplings (Style 40 uses Style 38 followers and gaskets) on plain-end steel pipe; CIP sizes fit couplings for cast and ductile iron.
  • Nitrile compound, yellow mold code
  • Same sections as the matching Grade 27 gaskets
