Full Repair Clamp Portfolio
Each clamp style addresses a different failure type and pipe geometry. Matching clamp to failure mode is the critical first decision.
360Full Circle
Style 360 — Full Circle Repair Clamp
360° circumferential coverage for pipe body repairs. Available in 7.5", 12.5", 15", 20", and 30" lengths. 1-band, 2-band, and 3-band configurations for sizes from 2" through 30"+. The most widely specified repair clamp in water distribution.
Pipe Body LeaksCorrosion Holes2"–30"+
118Repair
Style 118 — Repair Clamp
Heavy-duty repair clamp for larger-diameter main repairs and high-pressure service. Designed for applications where the standard Style 360 body weight is insufficient or where extended coverage is required.
Heavy DutyHigh PressureLarge Diameter
4Collar
Style 4 — Collar Leak Clamp
Designed for circumferential or spiral cracks in the pipe wall, particularly cast iron pipe. The collar-style design provides full-length coverage over the crack area without requiring pipe surface preparation.
Circumferential CrackCast IronCollar Design
41Collar
Style 41 — Collar Leak Clamp
Long-body version of the Style 4 collar clamp. Used where the crack or split extends over a longer pipe section and a single shorter clamp would not bridge the full defect length.
Extended CrackLonger CoverageCI/DI Mains
60Bell Joint
Style 60 — Bell Joint Clamp
Seals leaking bell-and-spigot joints on cast iron pipe without excavating below the pipe or removing the existing lead/rubber joint packing. Slides over the bell-spigot joint and compresses directly on the OD.
Bell-Spigot JointCI MainsIn-Place Repair
160Bell Joint
Style 160 — Bell Joint Clamp
Wider-body bell joint clamp for larger bell profiles or where additional sealing length over the joint is needed. Compatible with cast and ductile iron bell joints that exceed the Style 60 body coverage width.
Wide BellDI CompatibleExtended Coverage
60sBell Joint
Style 60s — Bell Joint Clamp
Stainless steel bolt variant of the Style 60 for corrosive soil environments, marine applications, or any installation where alloy bolt corrosion would compromise long-term clamp integrity.

Band Count and Length Selection
The Style 360 is ordered by pipe OD range, number of bands, and body length. All three parameters must be specified correctly.
Pipe Size Bands Available Lengths Notes
2" – 5" 1 7.5", 12.5", 15" Short section — 1 band sufficient
5" – 8" 1 7.5", 12.5", 15", 20", 30" Length matches defect + 3" each end
8" – 14" 1 or 2 7.5"–30" 2-band for wide bell joint coverage
14" – 20" 2 15", 20", 30" 2-band required for structural rigidity
20" – 30"+ 2 or 3 15", 20", 30" 3-band for large-diameter transmission
Length Rule of Thumb

The clamp body should extend at least 2"–3" beyond each edge of the defect (pit, hole, or crack). For a 6" long corrosion pit, minimum clamp length = 6 + 3 + 3 = 12" — select the 12.5" body.

OD Measurement Is Critical

Style 360 part numbers are keyed to specific OD ranges, not nominal sizes. Measure pipe OD with a wrap tape before ordering. A 6" nominal steel pipe (OD 6.625") and a 6" nominal cast iron pipe (OD ~6.90") require different clamp part numbers.

Bell Joint Repair
Styles 60, 160, and 60s — Choosing the Right Bell Clamp
Bell joint failure is one of the most common leak sources in aging cast iron systems. These three clamp styles address it without requiring joint excavation below the pipe.
Parameter Style 60 Style 160 Style 60s
Bell Profile Standard CI bell Wide / DI bell Standard CI bell
Bolt Material Alloy steel Alloy steel Stainless steel
Body Coverage Standard width Extended width Standard width
Soil Type Normal Normal Corrosive / marine
Pipe Material Cast iron CI / Ductile iron Cast iron
When to Use Style 60s

If your soil resistivity tests below 1,000 ohm-cm, or if the main is within 300 feet of salt water, specify the 60s with stainless bolts. Alloy bolt corrosion is a leading cause of long-term bell clamp failure in corrosive environments.

Collar Clamps
Style 4 and Style 41 — Crack Repair on CI Mains
Circumferential and spiral cracks — the signature failure mode of old gray cast iron pipe — are best addressed with the collar design, not the split-sleeve approach.
💥
Circumferential Crack
A crack that runs around the pipe circumference. Style 4 collar clamp bridges the full crack width and provides 360° sealing contact on both sides of the break.
Style 4 — Standard Length
🌀
Spiral / Longitudinal Crack
A crack running along the pipe axis or in a spiral pattern. Style 41 long-body collar provides coverage over a greater axial distance to fully bridge the defect.
Style 41 — Extended Length
🔍
Sizing the Collar
Order by measured pipe OD and crack length. The collar ID must slide over the bell of the adjacent joint if it will be installed past the bell during approach.
