Booster pumps that turn low city or tank pressure into a steady shower on every floor. DuraMAC, DAB Esybox, Grundfos SCALA, Franklin Electric, Davey and Goulds, compared on one page.

A booster pump adds pressure to the water already coming into the house, from a city main, a well tank or a cistern. A variable speed booster holds one set pressure as fixtures open and close, so the shower stays steady when a toilet flushes. A fixed-speed booster with a pressure tank is the simple choice for lifting water from a storage tank.
Watermain Supply supplies residential boosters from six manufacturers and checks your duty against the manufacturer's curve before you order. Send your incoming pressure, the pressure you want and the number of bathrooms, or call 1-888.510.4036. All products are genuine, factory-new equipment in original manufacturer packaging, sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
Each brand's full residential line, with its own performance tables and data sheets.

Three numbers pick the booster. Measure them before you compare models.
Boost = the pressure you want at the fixtures, minus the pressure coming in at peak use, plus 0.433 PSI for every foot the water climbs to the top floor. Measure incoming pressure in the morning, when the street is busiest.
Size for the fixtures that run at the same time, not every fixture in the house. Two showers, a toilet and a sink together are a common peak for a family home. The calculator turns your fixtures into a peak flow.
Check the circuit: some models run on 115V, others need 230V. Check where it goes: indoor only, or rated for outdoor installation. Check the supply: on city water or a pressurized line, or lifting from a tank, where a self-priming pump helps.
Some boosters pair into a two-pump set on a twin dock or base, so a second pump adds flow and a standby. The growth section on each product page says how.
Send the duty and we check it against the manufacturer's published data before you order.

Straight answers to the questions buyers ask us most.
Work out the pressure to add (target pressure minus incoming pressure, plus 0.433 PSI per foot of rise) and the peak flow of the fixtures that run together. The booster must add that pressure at that flow; the calculator on this page does the arithmetic.
A variable speed booster holds one set pressure as demand changes and starts softly, so it is quieter and gentler on plumbing. A fixed-speed booster with a pressure tank costs less and works well for steady lifts from a storage tank.
Usually yes. Many utilities and plumbing codes require a backflow preventer and set rules for boosting off the main, so check with your water provider and local code before installing.
Most variable speed boosters need only a small tank or have one built in; fixed-speed boosters need a tank sized to limit starts. Each product page lists what ships, and the tank calculator sizes the tank.
It depends on the brand and model, and each product page states it. For example, DAB boosters carry 24 months from purchase, and the A.Y. McDonald DuraMAC Residential and Light Commercial boosters carry 3 years from installation.
Yes. Send your incoming pressure, the pressure you want, the number of floors and bathrooms and your power supply to sales@watermainsupply.com or call 1-888.510.4036.
Send your incoming pressure, target pressure and number of bathrooms. We will reply with the boosters that fit, from the brands we carry.
