Over time, bell joints can deteriorate — gaskets degrade, joints deflect, or joints shift under ground movement — allowing water loss that is difficult to seal without a mechanical repair clamp. The Style 60 slides over the bell and spigot and applies uniform circumferential compression through a resilient gasket assembly, sealing the joint and restoring the integrity of the pipeline without replacing pipe or fittings.
