The Dresser Style 138 is a wide-range bolted sleeve coupling for joining plain-end cast iron (CIP) and ductile iron pipe (DIP) in nominal sizes 3 in through 12 in. Its key advantage is a single coupling per nominal size that covers the full OD range — whether the line in the ground is legacy cast iron or current-production ductile iron, one part number fits the joint.
Style 138 couplings provide flexible, leakproof connections that absorb vibration, accommodate pipe movement, and require no threading, beveling, or precise pipe alignment. Installation is wrench-only.
