Overview
The Dresser Style 128 joins a plain-end pipe to a flanged connection without welding or threading. The compression end uses the Dresser coupling design, a wedge gasket squeezed by a follower ring and bolts, to seal on the pipe OD. The other end is a full-face flange drilled to AWWA C207 Class D that bolts to the mating valve, pump or fitting.
Application: Connecting water and industrial pipe to flanged valves, pumps, meters and fittings.

Working Pressure
Dresser rates the Style 128 at 150 PSI maximum allowable operating pressure for all sizes 3 in to 24 in. The flange on the mating valve or fitting, and the pipe itself, can limit the working pressure.

Installation Notes
- Clean dirt, rust, oil and loose scale from the pipe ends and check the gasket seat for gouges or grooves.
- Slide the followers on, lubricate the gaskets, pipe OD and middle ring flares with soapy water or a non-petroleum lubricant, and seat the gaskets.
- Draw the nuts up finger tight, then tighten opposite sides evenly to the recommended torque; check every nut before backfilling.

Before You Order. The Style 128 seals but does not restrain the pipe: anchor the pipe wherever thrust or pullout could occur, or ask us about the lock-pin build. Measure the pipe OD with a pi tape and confirm the flange drilling on the mating valve or fitting.
