The Dresser Style 220 Reinforcing Sleeve provides structural reinforcement and sealing for deteriorated cast iron and steel pipe — particularly at larger nominal pipe sizes where the Style 110 standard configuration does not apply. Like the Style 110, the Style 220 goes beyond sealing to restore structural integrity across a compromised pipe section, transferring hoop stress around areas of thinning, corrosion pitting, or wall weakness. When aging transmission mains or large-diameter distribution pipe cannot be immediately replaced, the Style 220 provides the heavy-duty rehabilitation solution that keeps the system in service.
