Overview
Vertical, multistage centrifugal pump with suction and discharge ports on the same level, so it drops into a straight pipe run. All wetted parts — pump head, base, chambers, impellers and shaft — are 316 stainless steel (AISI 316). The cast iron flange rings and base plate do not touch the pumped liquid. CRN suits deionised, demineralised and other aggressive or high-purity water where 304 stainless is not enough.
The CRN 32 frame is rated at 159 GPM. The family number is Grundfos’s nominal duty in cubic metres per hour, not a GPM figure — size the pump from the performance table below, not from the model number.
22 models are offered, from CRN 32-1-1 to CRN 32-11-2, covering 5 to 50 HP on NEMA 182TC, 213TC, 254TC, 284TC, 324TC C-face motors (single-phase or three-phase; TEFC throughout the range, with ODP alternatives from 15 HP). Models with a -2 or -1 suffix use reduced-diameter impellers to trim head between full stage counts. Connections are 2-1/2 in ANSI flanges: 125/150 lb on 1 to 5 stages, 250/300 lb on 6 to 11 stages.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Each part number is a complete pump: pump end, motor, coupling, coupling guard and cartridge shaft seal, factory assembled.
Not included: ANSI companion flanges (2-1/2 in) — order separately. Motor starter or VFD, overload protection, pressure switch or sensor, isolation valves, check valve and foundation bolts are also not included.
To run it needs: a supply matching the motor voltage and phase shown in the selected option, a correctly sized starter with overload protection, flooded suction or adequate NPSH, and a level, rigid foundation. These are fixed-speed pumps; for integrated variable-speed control see the CRE range.

Performance — Will It Do What You Need
Find the head you need in feet at your flow and pick the first model that meets it. Points are read from the Grundfos 60 Hz curve for each model at 20%, 50% and 75% of its maximum flow; shut-off is the head at zero flow, not a working point.

HQQE — EPDM. Silicon-carbide faces with EPDM rubber, −40 °F to 248 °F. The standard water seal: potable water, hot water and glycol. Not for mineral oils.

HQQV — FKM (Viton). Silicon-carbide faces with FKM rubber, −4 °F to 194 °F. For mineral oils, fuels and liquids that attack EPDM.
Before You BuyConfirm the duty point against the performance table, and confirm horsepower, voltage, phase and motor enclosure (TEFC or ODP) against your site. Single-phase and three-phase units are not interchangeable. Check that liquid temperature and system pressure sit inside the limits for the seal and flange rating selected, and order 2-1/2 in ANSI companion flanges separately.
