Motor control: Three-phase motors need a starter kit or drive. Overload protection must be provided by the user.

Baker’s 7 in asynchronous two-pole submersible motors run from 30 to 75 HP. They are the rewindable type: the copper, PVC-insulated stator sits in an AISI 304 stainless steel outer shell, with painted cast iron supports and a 6 in NEMA shaft end.
A Kingsbury-type thrust bearing with graphite tilting pads and a ceramic disc carries the load, and a ceramic and carbon mechanical seal closes the motor. Overload protection must be provided by the user.
Covered for 3 years from the date of manufacture under A.Y. McDonald’s published terms for Baker submersible motors. The terms add a 5-year term from the date of manufacture for Baker submersible motors, including assembled pumps with pump ends up to 25 GPM, in potable water applications.
