Included: the pump end only; no motor. Franklin factory wet tests every STS pump and ships the test results with it.
Motor required, ordered separately. A Franklin 6 in or 8 in submersible motor of the same horsepower, per the motor size of the build you select, plus the motor control it needs (control box, starter or drive).
Check valve: order separately (Franklin price-list note).
Drop cable and splice kit: sized to your setting depth and ordered separately.
The STS Series is a submersible turbine: premium ductile iron castings, investment cast stainless steel impellers and spiral cutlass rubber intermediate bearings for wells with abrasive water. The STS family covers 90 to 1,450 GPM at best efficiency point and total dynamic head up to 2,300 ft, from 5 to 200 HP.
Franklin Electric warrants its new products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of installation or 2 years from the date of manufacture, whichever comes first, when installed in clean, potable water applications. Franklin’s warranty does not cover applications pumping saltwater or other corrosive liquids.

Open your flow class and find your model. Total head is the lift from the pumping water level, plus the pressure you need at the top (2.31 ft for every PSI), plus friction in the column pipe. Pick the model whose head at your flow covers that total.

Read from Franklin’s published STS curves in the FPS Submersible Catalog (Mi1007), 9 in STS Series section, digitized and rounded down to whole feet. A, B and C trim builds: Franklin’s single-stage curve for that impeller trim times the number of stages. X (mixed-trim) builds: Franklin’s published curve for that horsepower. Franklin prints no output tables or separate shut-off figures for this series; the 0 GPM column reads each curve at its first plotted point (0 or 1 GPM). Model numbers are shown without their last two digits (discharge size and motor fit), which do not change performance. Bold = the last plotted point; — = beyond it. Feet of head = PSI × 2.31.
Best operating range: Franklin marks the efficiency contours on each single-stage curve and prints no figures for the range. The curves are in the image gallery.
