What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: the submersible motor. Franklin lists the lead arrangement for each build (DOL 3-lead or Y-Delta 6-lead) in the Models & Performance table.

Replacement and longer leads: on our motor leads listing. Franklin voids the motor warranty if Franklin-supplied leads are not used.

Pump end required, ordered separately. A pump end of the same horsepower that fits this motor diameter. Couplings are on our couplings and accessories listing.

Starter or drive required, ordered separately. A magnetic starter with quick-trip overloads, or a drive such as the Franklin X-Drive SUB panel.

Drop cable and splice kit: sized to your setting depth and ordered separately.

12-Month Franklin Electric Warranty

Franklin warrants its products for 12 months from the date of installation, but no more than 24 months from the date of manufacture. Franklin states the motor warranty can be extended to 3 years with Franklin overload-protection controls, and is void if Franklin-supplied leads are not used.

Before You Buy — The Limits That Decide the Fit
  • Continuous duty to 86 °F (30 °C) at 0.5 ft/sec flow past the motor; Hi-Temp 75 builds to 167 °F (75 °C).
  • Install vertically in an 8 in diameter or larger well.
  • All models are VFD compatible; the on-winding SubTrol heat sensor works with SubMonitor Connect.
  • Use Franklin-supplied leads: Franklin voids the motor warranty otherwise. Size the cable from Franklin's AIM manual.
