Included: the Tri-Seal High Capacity pump end and Franklin 4 in motor, assembled as one complete pump with the internal stainless steel check valve.
Control box required for 3-wire builds, ordered separately. Franklin pairs each 3-wire build with the control box shown in the Models & Performance table; order it from our Franklin 3-wire control box listing. 2-wire builds run without a control box.
Drop cable and splice kit: sized to your setting depth and ordered separately.
The Tri-Seal High Capacity 4 in pump comes in four performance ranges: 35, 45, 60 and 90 GPM, with a 2 in NPT discharge, with and without an internal stainless steel wafer-style check valve. Franklin designs it for optimal performance on its corrosion-resistant 4 in submersible motors. It replaces Franklin’s discontinued original FPS high-capacity models.
Covered by Franklin Electric’s Limited Warranty for 1 year from the date of original purchase.

| Nominal flow | 35-45 GPM |
| Horsepower | 1 to 1-1/2 HP |
| Frequency | 60 Hz |
| Construction | Stainless Steel |
| Approvals | ANSI/NSF-61 |
Find your horsepower in the row, then read across. Total head is the lift from the pumping water level, plus the pressure you want at the tank (2.31 ft for every PSI), plus friction in the drop pipe. The output tables give the flow you get at a 30/50 PSI pressure switch for your depth to water.
35 GPM class — total head in feet at three flows
| HP | 0 GPM (Shut-off) | 10 GPM | 26 GPM | 39 GPM | 52 GPM (Max) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 HP | 161 ft | 163 ft | 147 ft | 107 ft | 32 ft |
| 1-1/2 HP | 230 ft | 229 ft | 207 ft | 152 ft | 46 ft |
45 GPM class — total head in feet at three flows
| HP | 0 GPM (Shut-off) | 13 GPM | 32 GPM | 47 GPM | 63 GPM (Max) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-1/2 HP | 156 ft | 151 ft | 137 ft | 111 ft | 41 ft |
Total head read from the published curves in Franklin’s FPS Submersible Catalog (Mi1007), pp. 3 and 6, digitized and rounded down to whole feet, at the plotted flows nearest 20%, 50% and 75% of where the curves end. 0 GPM is Franklin’s printed shut-off. Feet of head = PSI × 2.31.
Output in GPM at 30 PSI (switch cut-in), by depth to water

Output tables as printed in Mi1007, pp. 4 and 7, at the 30 and 50 PSI rows; Franklin rounds them to whole GPM. Drop-pipe friction is not included (manufacturer note). — marks a point Franklin does not print.
The 35 GPM curves rise a few feet above the printed shut-off at low flow before they fall, so a low-flow column can read slightly above the shut-off.
3-wire control box by horsepower (ordered separately)

Best operating range: Franklin shades the best-efficiency range on each published curve and prints no figures for it. The curves are in the image gallery.
