Fits: the Flomatic 4221 and 4242 valves thread onto a 1-1/4 in pump discharge; the internal VFD check valve (305614000) fits 4 in submersible pumps with a 1-1/4 in or 2 in discharge and is removed with the T-handle wrench (101218901).
In-line check valves for the drop pipe and the internal check valve and wrench for Franklin 4 in submersible pumps. The owner’s manual calls for positive-sealing check valves only, never swing type: one within 25 ft of the pump and below the drawdown level, and one every 200 ft of setting on deep installations.
Most Franklin 4 in submersible pumps ship with the internal poppet check valve, order no. 305614000; it is reverse (left-hand) threaded and tightened to 15 inch-pounds on reassembly.
