Included (NEMA 4 builds, -N4): the Franklin 4 in three-phase submersible motor, the matched pump end and the SubDrive75, 100 or 150 NEMA 4 drive with its pressure sensor, as one package.
Included (NEMA 3R builds, -3RC): the pump, motor and SubDrive Connect NEMA 3R drive Franklin ships under the order number shown; the SubDrive Connect package includes a pressure transducer.
Power supply: the drive runs on 208/230 V single-phase service.
Pressure tank, drop cable, splice kit and pipe: sized to your installation and ordered separately.
Check valve on 35 GPM and larger builds: Franklin supplies high capacity pumps in QuickPAKs without an internal check valve; plan one in the drop pipe.
SubDrive QuickPAK is Franklin’s all-in-one constant pressure package: a Franklin submersible pump, motor and SubDrive variable frequency drive selected to work together, so the system is chosen by flow and total dynamic head and installed as one unit. The drive holds the pressure you set as demand changes, with soft start, power factor correction and built-in protection.
The NEMA 4 builds pair a 230 V three-phase induction motor with a SubDrive NEMA 4 drive in a self-contained, watertight enclosure for harsh conditions. The SubDrive runs the pump end above 60 Hz — up to 80 Hz on 1-1/2 HP and 70 Hz on 2 HP settings — which is why each build pairs a smaller pump end with a larger motor. The NEMA 3R builds use the SubDrive Connect drive with FE Connect app connectivity.
Franklin warrants its products for 12 months from the date of installation, but no more than 24 months from the date of manufacture.

Find your horsepower in the row, then read across. Total head is the lift from the pumping water level, plus the system pressure the drive holds (2.31 ft for every PSI), plus friction in the drop pipe. The output tables give the flow at a 30 or 50 PSI pressure setting for your depth to water.

Total head at maximum drive speed, read from the published curves in Franklin’s SubDrive QuickPAK catalog (M5008), pp. 9-47, digitized and rounded down to whole feet, at the plotted flows nearest 20%, 50% and 75% of where the curves end. 0 GPM is Franklin’s printed shut-off pressure at zero lift, in feet (PSI × 2.31). Franklin’s published curves and printed tables differ by more than 3% on the 7 GPM 3 HP, 35 GPM 1-1/2 HP, 35 GPM 2 HP, 35 GPM 3 HP and 90 GPM 3 HP builds. The head table follows the published curve, re-checked against Franklin’s chart; the 0 GPM column and the output tables follow the printed figures. Output tables as printed in M5008, pp. 9-47, at the 30 and 50 PSI rows; Franklin rounds them to whole GPM. Drop-pipe friction is not included. — marks a point Franklin does not print.
The 90 GPM curves rise a few feet above the printed shut-off at low flow before they fall, so a low-flow column can read slightly above the shut-off.
Franklin’s QuickPAK catalog (M5008) prints performance for the NEMA 4 builds; the NEMA 3R builds (-3RC) and 10-3WQP-0.5HP-3RC are confirmed on request.
Best operating range: Franklin marks the recommended operating range on each published curve and prints no figures for it. The curves are in the image gallery.
