What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included (SubDrive Connect): the drive, pressure transducer, transducer cable, screwdriver adjustment tool, strain relief fitting and owner’s manual.

Included (SubDrive Utility): the drive, pressure sensor (transducer on XD models) and boot, sensor cable, adjustment tool, strain relief fitting and owner’s manual.

Matching pump and motor required. Each drive runs the Franklin motor series and horsepower listed for it in the Models & Performance table; the drive replaces the control box and pressure switch.

Pressure tank: required and sized at install; most installations need only a small tank (minimum sizes in each owner’s manual).

Overview

SubDrive and MonoDrive variable frequency drives turn a submersible well pump into a constant pressure system: the drive varies motor speed to hold the pressure you set, with soft start and built-in motor protection, and a small pressure tank in most installations.

SubDrive Utility is the economical choice for 115 V and 230 V single-phase 2-wire systems and 230 V 3-wire and three-phase systems up to 2 HP. SubDrive Connect (SubDrive20, 30 and 50) covers 1/2 to 5 HP single-phase 2-wire, 3-wire and three-phase systems, with FE Connect app connectivity for monitoring, setup and troubleshooting. SubDrive Connect Plus runs three-phase motors up to 30 HP. SubDrive and MonoDrive NEMA 4 drives are the rugged, watertight choice for 1/2 to 2 HP single-phase 3-wire and 1-1/2 to 5 HP three-phase systems.

Franklin warrants these products for 1 year from the date of installation, but in no event more than 2 years from the date of manufacture. Franklin’s limited warranty does not cover performance affected by abrasive materials, corrosion due to aggressive conditions or improper voltage supply.
