What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: the Pumptec unit listed under the order number shown.

QD Pumptec needs a Franklin 3-wire QD relay control box. It plugs into the box in minutes, without additional wiring or tools; Pumptec and Pumptec-Plus mount indoors or outdoors beside the controls.

Overview

Franklin’s Pumptec family monitors motor load and supply voltage and shuts the pump down before a fault damages it. QD Pumptec, Pumptec and Pumptec-Plus are single-phase load monitoring devices designed specifically for Franklin single-phase motors.

QD Pumptec is a solid state device built for Franklin QD relay control boxes: it shuts off a Franklin single-phase 3-wire motor on a fault, with knobs for sensitivity and time-out, or a field calibration to your system. Pumptec is a microcomputer-based device for 2-wire and 3-wire single-phase motors of 1/3 to 1-1/2 HP: it guards against dry well conditions, waterlogged tanks and abnormal line voltage, and its cover lights show system status. Pumptec-Plus extends the protection to 1/2 to 5 HP.
