Included: Fhoton solar controller (0.75 hp, 0.55 kW), Franklin 4 in submersible motor (0.75 hp) and Franklin 4 in submersible helical rotor pump, 3 or 7 GPM.
Flow switch: not included with HR SolarPAKs; Franklin’s HR software provides dry-run and low-flow protection without external devices.
Solar array, DC disconnect, drop cable and pipe: sized to your site and ordered separately; panels, racking and the DC disconnect are on our solar panels, racking and accessories listing.
The Fhoton HR SolarPAK uses a helical rotor pump to build substantial water pressure from a minimum number of solar panels — a solution for remote wells where the volume needed is flexible and the head is high.
The pump is four-inch NEMA standard construction with a flex-shaft that keeps radial wear on the motor to a minimum, a built-in wafer-style check valve and an upthrust washer that protects the shaft if rotation is reversed. Pump and motor detach for service. The Fhoton drive algorithm raises starting torque to make the most of available sun, accepts input up to 300 VDC, and its proprietary software adds dry-run and low-flow protection without external devices.
Franklin warrants its products for 12 months from the date of installation, but no more than 24 months from the date of manufacture.

Performance
Each row is one build at full array power, read at 20%, 50% and 75% of the highest total head Franklin lists for it: the flow in GPM it delivers at that head.
3/4 HP builds
| Model | PV power at full flow, W | At 20% of max head | At 50% | At 75% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3FDSP-0.75HP-HR | 570 | 3.3 GPM at 98 ft | 3.1 GPM at 164 ft | 3.0 GPM at 295 ft |
| 7FDSP-0.75HP-HR | 860 | 7.6 GPM at 33 ft | 7.6 GPM at 164 ft | 7.5 GPM at 230 ft |
Source: Franklin Electric Solar Products Catalog (M1782 01-25), pp. 34-35, flow vs. PV power curves for each SolarPAK, digitized and rounded down to 0.1 GPM (whole GPM above 100). Each figure is the highest flow on that head line, reached at the right-hand end of the line; PV power is the highest power plotted for the build. Head is total dynamic head as Franklin labels each line. Actual output follows the sun, the array and the temperature; at lower array power the flow is lower.
