Included, 0.5-1.5 HP: Franklin 4 in submersible motor, Franklin 4 in submersible pump and Fhoton solar controller; flow switch with 30 ft (10 m) cable on the 0.75 and 1.5 HP builds that list one (not included with 0.5 HP builds).
Included, 5-10 HP: Franklin 4 in or 6 in submersible motor and pump, Fhoton solar controller, and the F21 flow switch with 30 ft (10 m) cable in the controller packaging.
Solar array and DC disconnect: panels, racking and the DC disconnect are listed separately on our solar panels, racking and accessories listing; the array is sized to the package and your site.
Drop cable, splice kit, pipe and level switches: sized to your installation and ordered separately.
Check valve on 35 GPM and larger builds: Franklin supplies high capacity pumps and STS turbines in SolarPAKs without a built-in check valve.
Overview
The Fhoton SolarPAK is Franklin’s system solution for solar pumping: a Franklin submersible motor and pump with a Fhoton solar controller, built as a rugged package for harsh and remote sites. Maximum Power Point Tracking gets the most water from the array, soft start prevents water hammer, and the NEMA 4 controller shows operating status and faults on a multi-color LED.
The 0.5-1.5 HP builds use 4 in 3200 Series, Tri-Seal and high capacity pumps. The 5-10 HP builds run on array voltages up to 850 VDC, with patented software for enhanced dry-run protection and terminals for an optional communications board that works with the FE Connect app; their 100-375 GPM builds use 6 in motors with 6 in high capacity pumps and 5 in or 6 in STS turbines.

Before You Buy — The Limits That Decide the Fit
- The array decides the flow: size it with Franklin’s SolarPAK Selector or send us your site, head and daily water need
- Never exceed the controller’s open-circuit voltage: 300 VOC on the 0.75 HP controller, 420 VOC on the 1.5 HP, 850 VDC on 5-10 HP
- The low DC voltage limits are not an adequate array voltage for useful pumping (Franklin)
- The 0.5 HP builds have no flow switch input supplied; the 0.75 and 1.5 HP builds use the C25 or F21 flow switch listed for them
