Overview
The FPS IGP-A Series is the automatic version of the IGP grinder, for residential and commercial sewage lift stations and low-pressure sewer systems, and anywhere high vertical lift or long force mains are present.
The start and run components are encased in an oil-free chamber inside the pump, so it needs no control panel to start. The 515861 and 515873 carry a mechanical float switch on a 9 in tether and run automatically straight from power; the 515862 and 515874 are the same pump without the float, for basins where level is switched externally. Every IGP-A ships with the GLK-SST grinder leg kit.
The grinder cuts solids into a slurry at 414,000 cuts per minute ahead of a seven-vane, angled-face, non-clogging brass impeller. The 2 HP, 3450 RPM motor has built-in overload protection, a carbon/ceramic mechanical seal and a short, deflection-resistant shaft, in epoxy-coated cast iron.

Performance — Will It Do What You Need?
Find your total dynamic head across the top: the vertical lift from the basin to the highest point of the force main plus friction in the pipe. The figure below it is gallons per minute at that head.

Franklin places the IGP series in lower-head service, below about 120 ft of total head. For higher heads it points to the dual-stage IGPH high-head series, which reaches 175 ft on its rated curve.
