Overview
The hard-piped simplex package is Franklin's simplest grinder station, for low-pressure sewer service and sewage transfer in light commercial and residential buildings. The fiberglass basin comes configured for a hard-pipe installation, with the pump, check valve, ball valve and discharge piping already in place.
The pump is the 2 HP IGP-A231-20 automatic grinder (515861), which carries its own start components and float switch, so the package runs without a control panel. Discharge is SCH 80 PVC piping with a union disconnect, through a 1-1/4 in SCH 80 PVC check valve and ball valve, to a 1-1/4 in FNPT discharge flange installed at the factory. The inlet is a 4 in Adapt-A-Flex grommet, and the cover is ribbed structural foam.

Performance — Will It Do What You Need?
Find your total dynamic head across the top: the vertical lift from the basin to the highest point of the force main plus friction in the pipe. The figure below it is gallons per minute at that head.

Franklin places the IGP series in lower-head service, below about 120 ft of total head. For higher heads it points to the dual-stage IGPH high-head series, which reaches 175 ft on its rated curve. The package uses the IGP-A231-20, so this is its curve.
