Overview
Franklin's fiberglass grinder packages are complete stations for low-pressure sewer service and sewage transfer in light commercial and residential buildings: basin, rail-mounted grinder, control panel, floats and valves, supplied as one package.
The grinder is the 2 HP, 3450 RPM IGP-M231-15 with capacitor start/run motor and built-in overload protection, a high-starting-torque motor for grinding domestic sewage, epoxy-coated cast iron, and a seven-vane, angled-face, non-clogging brass impeller behind cutters that make 414,000 cuts per minute. The pump lifts out on the stainless steel rail system, so it can be serviced without entering the basin.

Performance — Will It Do What You Need?
Find your total dynamic head across the top: the vertical lift from the basin to the highest point of the force main plus friction in the pipe. The figure below it is gallons per minute at that head.

Franklin places the IGP series in lower-head service, below about 120 ft of total head. For higher heads it points to the dual-stage IGPH high-head series, which reaches 175 ft on its rated curve. The package uses the IGP-M231-15, so this is its curve.
