Overview
The FPS PowerSewer System is a low-pressure sewer station that pumps wastewater to a collection or treatment area, a proven alternative to gravity sewer and septic tanks for residential and commercial sites. It comes in 60, 72, 84 and 96 in basin sizes and ships ready to install.
The basin is monolithic, rugged HDPE with a drop inlet and rounded bottom. The grinder sits on an isolated stainless steel pump support that carries heavier pumps, and lifts out on a PVC C-channel assembly; the discharge runs through a cast iron anti-siphon ball check valve. Electrical connections are made in a NEMA 4X junction box in an OSHA-compliant dry well, and the station is run from a NEMA 4X control panel. A 2 in remote vent cap in non-corrosive polypropylene with a stainless steel bug screen lets the vent sit away from the basin to keep the landscaping clean.
Choose the pump by head. Franklin places the IGP standard series in applications below about 120 ft of head, and the dual-stage IGPH high-head series up to about 180 ft; with the IGPH the station reaches a maximum shut-off head of 200 ft and a maximum flow of 35 GPM. The patented cutting mechanism and high starting torque grind through tough material, and the hydraulics were designed to eliminate roping.

Growth & Multiplex
A simplex station: one grinder per basin, with the pump option (IGP automatic, IGP manual or IGPH high-head manual) and the basin depth chosen at purchase. For two pumps alternating in one basin, Franklin builds the duplex fiberglass grinder package.

Performance — Will It Do What You Need?
Find your total dynamic head across the top: the vertical lift from the basin to the highest point of the force main plus friction in the pipe. The figure below it is gallons per minute at that head.
