Overview
The FPS 3NC Series is a submersible solids handling (non-clog) pump for raw, unscreened domestic sewage, effluent, irrigation and general dewatering in commercial and industrial service. Franklin Electric builds it with a semi-open ductile iron impeller, a field-adjustable wear plate and dual silicon carbide mechanical seals with a seal-fail probe.
Motor: Oil-filled, Class F insulation. Available in 230V single-phase and 200/230V, 460V and 575V three-phase. Performance is set by the impeller trim: 3 HP: 160, 172 and 184 mm. 5 HP 1Ph: 184 and 190 mm. 5 HP 3Ph: 184 and 196 mm. Standard trim: 3 HP 184 mm; 5 HP 1Ph 190 mm; 5 HP 3Ph 196 mm.
Pick the trim from the duty point, not the horsepower. Two pumps of the same HP deliver very different flows at the same head depending on the trim fitted, so size from the performance table below and confirm with a factory curve before ordering.

Growth & Multiplex
Runs as a single pump or as a duplex lift station, with two pumps alternating lead and lag from a duplex control panel. Franklin Electric publishes matching NC Series control panels, and guide-rail base elbows are offered for lift-out installation (see Accessories).
