Overview
CU 202 is designed for monitoring and control of SQFlex submersible pumps in solar applications. The controller is pre-configured for filling, allowing for quick and easy installation with its plug-and-pump capabilities. For other applications, the controller offers multiple control modes that can be selected and configured through the Grundfos GO app.
The pump can be operated via the keypad on the controller interface, and the display provides system status, alarms and warnings, and pump performance data. CU 202 starts and stops the SQFlex, using soft start, based on information about water consumption from either a level or pressure signal.
Built-in Bluetooth enables commissioning and configuration through the Grundfos GO app. Remote monitoring is available through Wi-Fi, GENIbus or Modbus, using Grundfos Connect or another SCADA system, saving inspection time. Communication between the pump and controller occurs via the power supply cable (mains-borne signalling), eliminating the need for extra cables. The CU 202 includes two configurable inputs and outputs and supports optional 24 VDC backup power to maintain measurements in the controller and communication to Grundfos Connect and the Grundfos GO app.
Genuine Grundfos equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.

Where It Fits
In a Grundfos SQFlex system the control unit sits between the power source — solar array, generator or grid — and the pump. It is used wherever the system has a storage tank with a level switch, a pressure tank with a pressure switch, a well whose yield calls for a speed limit, or a need for status and alarms on site or remotely.
The CU 202 is the controller on the Grundfos 2026 renewables price list. Grundfos literature from 2021 shows the earlier CU 200 for pumps up to 1400 W and the CIU 903 for the 2500 W high-speed pumps; Grundfos states the CU 202 is compatible with the full SQFlex range. For Grundfos Connect, Grundfos calls for a 3-wire 18 AWG communication cable between the CU 202 and the CIU 902, and a Grundfos Connect subscription for each installation.
Before You OrderThe part number is the control unit only: pump, array, disconnects, surge protection, level or pressure switch and cable are separate items. Tell us the SQFlex model it will run so we can confirm the pairing. A solar array is live whenever there is daylight — isolate every DC and AC source before wiring. Supplied for installation in the United States and shipped to U.S. addresses only.
