The Grundfos MS6000P is the 6 in interior permanent magnet motor of the SPE variable speed submersible, sold here as a replacement motor in 10, 25, 40 and 50 HP. It is a 4-pole synchronous motor with the magnets embedded in a hermetically sealed rotor, a canned stator, silicon carbide shaft seal faces and heavy duty thrust bearings, rated 460V three-phase, operating on 410V at up to 3600 rpm from the drive. Grundfos quotes an overall 10% electrical energy saving when it runs on a Grundfos CUE drive.
The motor starts and runs only from a drive with IPM motor control, such as the Grundfos CUE, with an IPM-ready sine-wave filter. Use it to rebuild an SPE installation on a sound pump end; the motor for each SPE pump end is in the table under Specifications.
Included: the MS6000P permanent magnet motor.
SPE pump end required, ordered separately. The SPE 6 in, SPE 8 in or SPE 10 in pump end the motor is matched to (table under Specifications).
Drive with IPM motor control required, ordered separately. The Grundfos CUE or CUE IP66 drive sized for the pump.
Sine-wave filter required, ordered separately. An IPM-ready Grundfos TCI sine-wave output filter on the drive output.
Drop cable and splice kit: sized to your setting depth and ordered separately.
24 months from date of installation, but not more than 30 months from date of manufacture. In Grundfos's words, products are “warranted to the original user only to be free of defects in material and workmanship”; the full terms are in the installation and operating instructions on the Data Sheet tab.
