Flygt Concertor 6020 | 6030 | Wastewater Pumps

Authorized Xylem & Flygt Distributor

Flygt Concertor
Intelligent Wastewater Pumping

The world's first fully integrated, intelligent submersible wastewater pumping system — clog-free performance, IE4 energy efficiency, and adaptive control with the variable-speed drive built inside the pump. Models 6020 and 6030, plus retrofit upgrades for existing stations.

The Flygt Concertor is not a conventional pump with a drive bolted on. The power electronics that run its IE4 permanent-magnet motor live inside the pump unit, so it self-adjusts across a broad performance field without external VFD cabinets or impeller trimming. The result is clog-free wastewater pumping, lower lifecycle cost, and dramatically simpler selection across municipal, commercial, and industrial lift stations.

It is part of our authorized Xylem and Flygt pump lineup. For dewatering and drainage submersibles, see our Flygt dewatering pumps.

Flygt Concertor intelligent submersible wastewater pump

Built-In Intelligence, Not Bolt-On Controls

Concertor combines advanced software with state-of-the-art hardware to protect against unscheduled downtime, eliminate nuisance clog callouts, and cut energy use — while keeping setup and operation simple.

Flygt Concertor wastewater pump installed in a pump station

Intelligent

User-adjustable performance with self-monitoring anti-clogging countermeasures helps prevent motor failure, clogging, and overflows.

Simple

Engineered to start pumping instantly in on/off systems. Advanced configurations with gateways, SCADA, or Nexicon arrive pre-programmed for a fast launch.

Economical

Virtually eliminates unplanned site visits and reduces pump and parts inventory. Built from efficient, long-life components.

Environmental

Tunes to precise duty points and, with Nexicon, draws the least power possible — lowering the station's overall carbon footprint.

How the Concertor Works

Four technologies do the heavy lifting — together delivering the clog-free, energy-efficient, low-touch operation the Concertor is known for.

Concertor Cutaway — Adaptive N Hydraulic & Integrated Drive

Integrated Variable Speed

The drive is built into the pump. One unit covers a broad performance field, self-adjusting to changing flow and head — no external VFD, no cabinet cooling, no VFD trips on hot days.

Adaptive N Self-Cleaning

The semi-open N-hydraulic guides rags, wipes, and fibrous solids through the pump. On sensing a clog, it runs an automatic cleaning sequence and resumes — ending vacuum-truck callouts.

IE4 Permanent-Magnet Motor

A synchronous PM motor delivers the highest efficiency class, running cool with liquid-free or closed-loop conduction and finding the most efficient operating point each duty cycle.

Active Seal & Sensors

Plug-in double mechanical seal with Active Seal, plus leakage and dual temperature sensors. Always-correct rotation means the pump is impossible to wire backwards.

A Scalable System: N → DP → XPC

Start with the intelligent pump and scale the control layer to the station. Energy minimizing, multi-pump coordination, and sump and pipe cleaning are XPC-tier functions — know what each tier unlocks before you spec.

Flygt Concertor control options — DP gateway, HMI touchscreen, and Nexicon control hardware

Scalable Control — Gateway, HMI & Nexicon Options

Concertor N

Start Here — The Smart Pump

For high-solids sites where clogs are constant — airports, residential communities, universities. Standalone on/off duty with constant power, soft start, clog detection, and automatic pump cleaning built in. Accepts a 4–20 mA signal or simple run command from third-party controllers.

Concertor DP

Add Gateway — SCADA Integration

For systems that already have process-control algorithms and need an affordable way to use them. Gateways find the optimal duty point per pump, cutting operating costs and site visits. Modbus RTU/TCP, optional HMI. A strong fit for limited CapEx/OpEx budgets or tight cabinet space.

Concertor XPC

Add Xylem HMI + Nexicon — Full Station Control

For a complete overhaul. Concertor with MultiSmart powered by Nexicon ships pre-programmed with pump-station logic: manages up to four pumps, energy minimizer, sump and pipe cleaning, DNP3 and IEC-104, and ISA/IEC 62443-4-1 cybersecurity. Customizable via Codesys.

Concertor 6020 vs 6030

Both share the same intelligence, Adaptive N hydraulics, and PM IE4 motor. The 6020 covers small-to-mid stations; the 6030 steps up to higher power, an 8 in discharge, and roughly half again the head and flow. Confirm exact ratings and approvals at time of quote.

Concertor vs Conventional Submersibles

A conventional submersible wins on sticker price. The Concertor wins on lifecycle cost — energy, callouts, and inventory. Here is where the difference shows up.

Consideration Conventional Submersible Flygt Concertor
Speed Control Fixed speed, or external VFD cabinet Variable speed integrated in the pump
Motor Induction Permanent-magnet, IE4 efficiency
Clog Handling Manual clearing, vacuum-truck visits Automatic detection and self-cleaning
Selection Exact duty point, impeller trims Broad self-adjusting performance field
Inventory Many model and impeller-trim SKUs Few SKUs cover the range
Control Panel Separate VFD; may need cabinet cooling No external VFD; no VFD heat trips
Setup Engineered wiring, rotation checks Set-up wizard; cannot be wired backwards
Lifecycle Cost Lower CapEx, higher OpEx Higher CapEx, lower OpEx

Proven in the Field

Documented Concertor XPC deployments reported by Xylem.

Residential — Sublimity, Oregon

Aging Station Overhaul

A 40-plus-year-old station could no longer handle resident volume or solids, driving up energy, maintenance, and labor costs. Replaced with a Concertor XPC system using a control building, valve vault, and TOP sump insert.

6x reduction in pump operation · 11.5 hp reduction in pump operation · 0 clogs recorded
Industrial — Port of Trelleborg, Sweden

Ending Recurring Failures

Recurring pump failure and flooding plagued the port. A Concertor XPC system with Avensor cloud monitoring was integrated into the port's existing SCADA.

3 years without a pump stoppage (vs 1+/month) · Real-time system insight · Fully compliant with the 2021 discharge law
Utility — Scottish Water, Scotland

Scaling Toward Net-Zero

A utility serving 5.4 million people across 30,000-plus miles of pipe needed to cut callouts and operating cost under a net-zero pledge. A turnkey Concertor XPC solution with a level pressure transducer delivered.

£42K operating-expense savings · 99.8% fewer attendance visits · 40% lower energy consumption

“We've improved our overall pumping performance, but also reduced our energy bill by 53% at one of our pumping stations.”

Ian Jolly — Heathrow Airport Water Services, UK

“We used to call the vacuum truck once a month to manually remove sediment and grease. That is now a thing of the past.”

R. Ramesh — Sultan Qaboos University, Oman
