Overview
The PR4-E is the PR4 built on Grundfos's own environmental pump end. The Redi-Flo4 E-series pump end is made by Grundfos for groundwater remediation and environmental service: AISI 304 stainless hydraulics with Teflon intermediate bearings, a Teflon impeller seal ring and a Teflon-faced check valve seat, straight from the factory. We mount it on a Franklin Electric 4 in Pollution Recovery motor, which Grundfos lists as an optional motor for Redi-Flo4, and wire it with one continuous lead in the jacket you choose.

Factory environmental pump end. No refit: the Teflon parts are Grundfos's own, and the head is Grundfos's published curve with no derate.

The Redi-Flo replacement. If your site ran Redi-Flo4 pumps, the 5E, 10E, 16E and 25E pump ends are the same models.

Continuous lead included. CPE-XLPE, HiLo or Teflon (FEP), 100 ft or 150 ft, one run from the motor with a stainless jam-nut plug and Viton bushing.

Built for contaminated wells. Franklin's Pollution Recovery motor uses Viton rubber parts, hermetically sealed windings and a stainless exterior, rated continuous to 86°F with no flow sleeve.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included, assembled: the Grundfos Redi-Flo4 environmental pump end, the Franklin Electric 4 in Pollution Recovery motor matched by horsepower, and the continuous lead in the jacket and length you select. 2-wire motors get a 2-conductor plus ground lead; 3-wire and three-phase motors get 3-conductor plus ground. All 12 AWG.
Lead time: normal lead time is 3-4 days after receipt of order. For next-day shipping, add Expedite Service - 24 hr to the order.
Single-phase 3-wire builds: control box required, ordered separately. Use the Franklin 3-wire QD control box matched to the motor horsepower and voltage. 2-wire builds need no control box.
Three-phase builds: starter or drive required, ordered separately. A magnetic starter with quick-trip overloads, or a drive such as the Franklin X-Drive SUB panel for level control.
Side-slope risers and sumps: wheeled shroud, ordered separately. The PR4 stainless wheeled shroud is built to the length of your pump with the wheels set for your riser I.D.
Longer leads, drop pipe and safety cable: sized to your well and quoted or ordered separately.
Built from genuine, factory-new Grundfos and Franklin Electric components, assembled for Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
Warranty
30 days from purchase on the assembled package, from Watermain Supply. The PR4-E uses a non-Franklin continuous lead, so it is covered by our package warranty rather than the original Grundfos and Franklin warranties.

Models & Performance — Will It Do What You Need?
Each table reads like the curve: the head the pump adds at shut-off, at the low end of Grundfos's operating range, along the curve, at rated flow and at the top of the range. Pick a model whose head at your flow covers the lift from the pumping level, the pressure you need at the discharge (2.31 ft per psi) and friction in the drop pipe.

Total head in feet at 60 Hz, 3,450 rpm, read from the published Grundfos Redi-Flo4 curves and rounded down. Min and Max are the ends of Grundfos's operating range for each class (the 25E range runs to 32 GPM; its table stops at 30). 1 ft of head = 0.433 PSI. | Liquid temperature |
Franklin rates the motor continuous in water up to 86°F (30°C) with no flow sleeve. For warmer leachate, send us the temperature: we size a flow sleeve or shroud and check Franklin's derating before you order. |
| Liquid chemistry |
The Redi-Flo4 pump end's Teflon parts and the motor's Viton parts suit leachate, dissolved hydrocarbons and most solvents. Pick the lead to the chemistry: CPE-XLPE for leachate and general groundwater, HiLo for oils and solvents, Teflon (FEP) for free product and chlorinated solvents. |

Run each class inside Grundfos's range: 5E 1.2-7 GPM, 10E 5-14, 16E 10-20, 25E 18-32. Below the range, step down a class. |

Keep at least 0.25 ft/s flowing past the motor; in large casings or sumps use a flow sleeve or shroud. |

Installation Notes
- Install vertically for submerged operation, per Grundfos's Redi-Flo4 instructions.
- Connect all metal plumbing, and the motor if it sits outside a drilled well, to the power supply grounding terminal with wire no smaller than the motor lead conductors.
- The lead runs continuous from the motor to the surface; make any splice above the well, out of the contaminated zone.
- Three-phase motors are electrically reversible: check rotation at start-up.
- Single-phase 2-wire motors start from integral components; 3-wire motors need the Franklin QD control box.
- Hang the pump from a stainless safety cable, not the lead.
