Franklin Electric 6 in SR Submersible Pump End - Stainless Steel, 70-325 GPM, 5-75 HP

The SR Series pumps are designed specifically to meet a variety of applications. With stainless steel impellers and diffusers, a stainless steel shell to maintain alignment, and heavy-investment cast stainless steel suction and discharge brackets, the SR Series pumps are equipped to operate efficiently and handle the most demanding conditions.

The 304 stainless steel build is standard; Franklin also builds the SR in 316 stainless steel for corrosive water.

Total head read from the published curves in Franklin’s FPS Submersible Catalog (Mi1007), 6 in and 8 in SR Series section, digitized and rounded down to whole feet, at the plotted flows nearest 20%, 50% and 75% of where the curves in each class end. Franklin prints no shut-off figure for this series; the 0 GPM column reads each curve at its first plotted point. Franklin prints no output tables for this series. Feet of head = PSI × 2.31.

• Maximum operating temperature: 140 °F/60 °C for 304 stainless steel and 194 °F/90 °C for 316 stainless steel

• Install in a developed well; undeveloped water carries sand that wears the pump.
• Set the pump suction at least 10 ft below the expected drawdown level and at least 5 ft off the bottom of the well.
• The built-in check valve sits on the pump; add one above ground, and one in the drop pipe every 100 ft of setting beyond the first 100 ft.
• Support the riser at the wellhead and keep the cable clear of clamps and the casing while lowering.
