Installation Steps:

• Clean the pipe surface thoroughly at the tap location to remove dirt, scale, and debris
• Position the saddle body on the pipe with the outlet at the desired location
• Install the double studs through the saddle body and around the pipe
• Hand-tighten all nuts evenly, then torque to the recommended values
• Perform a hydrostatic pressure test before tapping the main
• Use a tapping machine to bore through the pipe wall via the saddle outlet

Important Notes:

• Do not over-torque nuts - refer to Smith-Blair torque specifications
• Ensure the gasket is properly seated before tightening
• Verify pipe OD falls within the specified range for the selected saddle
