Designed for groundwater, sump crocks in homes, motels, hotels, schools, hospitals, industrial buildings, computer and record storage rooms.
Radon Ready (747H20RR) — Standard installations have the operating valve above the sump lid. Radon Ready models relocate the operating valve below the sump lid so the lid can be fully sealed. This matters because radon gas seeps up from the ground through sump pits. If you can't seal the sump lid, you've got a radon entry point into the home. Many states in the Northeast and Midwest require sealed sump systems in new construction — it's just a different configuration, not an add-on cost.
Tank Alert Alarm (747H20A) — Adds a Tank Alert AB liquid level alarm (Part 6190-137): 120V, NEMA1 enclosure, mechanical switch with a SignalMaster float on a 15' cord. It mounts to the pipe and alerts the homeowner if water rises too high — meaning the Guardian isn't keeping up or has failed.
Radon Ready w/ Alarm (747H20RRA) — Combines both: sealed sump lid capability plus the Tank Alert alarm.
Radon Ready w/ RPZ (747H20RR-0001) — The full package minus the alarm: sealed sump configuration plus the code-compliant RPZ backflow preventer.
So the model naming logic is straightforward: base model is 747H20, add "RR" for radon ready, add "A" for alarm, add "-0001" for RPZ.
