Description
The JCM 620 Sur-Grip bell joint restrainer anchors IPS PVC, C900 PVC and ductile iron pipe across the bell, flexible couplings and other low-profile joints. A serrated ring grips the pipe and compression follower rings and bolts tie it across the joint.
Sur-Grip restrainers are rated for 235 PSI on DR18 PVC pipe and equal to the pipe rating on other classes, and for 350 PSI on ductile iron pipe with a 2:1 safety factor.
Typical application: Restraint: anchors the pipe across bell and spigot and coupled joints.

Joint to restrain, at install. The restrainer installs over the bell, coupling or low-profile joint and grips the pipe on the restrained side.

Working Pressure
350 PSI on ductile iron; 235 PSI on DR18 PVC. JCM rates Sur-Grip restrainers for 350 PSI on ductile iron pipe with a 2:1 safety factor, and for 235 PSI on DR18 PVC pipe, equal to the pipe rating on other PVC classes.
