Description

The JCM 502 stainless steel service saddle is built around the pipe: heavy construction and a balanced bolt design give the pipe support, bolt torque and gasket compression a long-term saddle installation needs. JCM recommends it for IPS PVC, C900 PVC, ductile iron, cast iron, steel and other pipe; it is not for HDPE.

A full circumferential 304 stainless band supports the pipe at the tap and on the back side, the standard 8 in width gives maximum support at every size, and a raised outlet gasket with molded channels maximizes watertight contact. The 304 fabrication is passivated per ASTM A380.

Typical application: Service connections on IPS PVC, C900 PVC, ductile iron, cast iron and steel pipe.

Included: the stainless band and bolting assembly with lift bar, 5/8 in stainless studs and anti-seize nuts, the threaded stainless outlet and the EPDM gasket.

Corporation stop and tapping, at install. The corporation stop threads into the outlet and the main is tapped through it.
