Description
The JCM 462 stainless steel tapping sleeve uses replaceable, self-aligning bolts that can be torqued to 125 ft-lb for high gasket pressure, and a full circumferential gasket with a molded-in recessed bridge plate that seals the whole pipe, insurance against beam breaks on size-on-size taps.
A stainless body and neck join a strong, economical coated carbon steel flange to AWWA C207 Class D with the tapping valve recess.
Typical application: Branching: line branches, valves, internal line access.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the sleeve halves with the gasket, bolts and nuts.
Tapping valve and tapping machine, ordered separately. A flanged tapping valve bolts to the outlet; size-on-size taps need a 1/2 in undersized shell cutter.
