Description
The JCM 459 heavy-duty stainless tapping sleeve uses thicker metal and extra bolting for reinforcement of the pipe and outlet, and a broad hydromechanical outlet seal gasket for high working pressures and problem taps such as pump and lift stations, large mains and large outlets.
JCM rates these sleeves for working pressures of 1.5 times the valves commonly used on ductile iron, PVC, PE and steel pipe, and prices the larger sizes below ductile iron MJ sleeves. The outlet is a cast stainless mechanical joint.

Tapping valve and tapping machine, ordered separately. An MJ tapping valve connects to the outlet; size-on-size taps need a 1/2 in undersized shell cutter.
