Description
The JCM 439 stainless steel tapping sleeve uses replaceable, self-aligning bolts that can be torqued to 125 ft-lb for high gasket pressure, and a full circumferential gasket with a molded-in recessed bridge plate that seals the whole pipe, insurance against beam breaks on size-on-size taps.
An all stainless body joins a one-piece cast stainless mechanical joint outlet with load-bearing set pins that hold the valve in line during and after the tap.
Typical application: Branching: line branches, valves, internal line access.

Included: the sleeve halves with the gasket, bolts and nuts.
Tapping valve and tapping machine, ordered separately. An MJ tapping valve connects to the outlet; size-on-size taps need a 1/2 in undersized shell cutter.

12-Month Warranty
Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.
Working Pressure
250 PSI working (300 PSI test) on 4-12 in; 200 PSI (250 PSI test) on 14-24 in; 150 PSI on pipe with a full circumferential break. JCM's service rating; higher ratings are available for specific applications and sizes.
