Description
The JCM 425 service saddle makes safe, dependable 3/4 through 2 in taps on concrete steel cylinder pipe and concrete-coated steel pipe, and also serves reinforced concrete, large cast iron and ductile iron pipe. It can also install air and vacuum valves, pitot tubes and injection lines.
The separate bolt-in outlet reinforces the pipe before the prestress wire is removed from the outlet area, which keeps the pipe intact, and the adjustable outlet accommodates concrete coating from none up to 1-1/8 in thick. A broad pressure-activated gasket set in a retaining cavity seals tighter as pressure rises.
Typical application: Service taps, air and vacuum valves, pitot tubes and injection lines on concrete cylinder and large-diameter pipe.
Key Features
- Separate bolt-in outlet reinforces the pipe before prestress wire removal
- Adjustable outlet for 0 to 1-1/8 in concrete coating
- Broad pressure-activated gasket in a retaining cavity
- 3/4 through 2 in outlets, IP or CC thread
- Stainless straps and fusion epoxy coating available
What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the ductile iron saddle body and outlet, outlet bolts and washers, gasket and steel straps.
Grout diaper, ordered separately. JCM recommends grouting the saddle; its grout diapers (89106 for 16-24 in, 89107 for 30-36 in, 89108 for 42-48 in) make it quick.
Longer outlet bolts, where needed. Pipe with less than 1/4 in of coating needs longer outlet bolts.
Genuine JCM Industries equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
12-Month Warranty
Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.
Working Pressure
Pressure-activated seal. The contoured gasket seals tighter as line pressure rises; send the pipe and pressure and we will obtain JCM's rating.
