Description
The JCM 301 flanged coupling adapter combines a flange with a ductile iron flexible coupling to connect plain-end pipe to flanged fittings, meters, valves and equipment. It absorbs vibration, accommodates deflection and expansion, allows easy equipment removal and eliminates exact measurements.
Restrained builds, offered on most sizes, add retainer set screws that anchor the adapter on steel, cast iron and ductile iron pipe, eliminating extra tie rods or harnessing; the set screws are not exposed to the line and need no drilling. Set screws are not for asbestos cement, HDPE or PVC pipe.
Typical application: Valve insertions, equipment connections and offset adjustment, converting flanged fittings to MJ or push-on, dampening vibration, field-fitting flange spools.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the ductile iron flanged body, follower, gaskets, and coupling bolts and nuts; restrained builds include the set screws.
Flange bolts, ordered separately. The adapter bolts to the mating flange with standard flange bolts; the lip-seal flange gasket is included.
Pipe anchorage, provided at install. Standard builds do not restrain the pipe; use the restrained build on steel, cast iron or ductile iron where thrust must be held.

12-Month Warranty
Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.
Working Pressure
150 PSI working pressure. JCM rates the 301 for 150 PSI working pressure when installed per its instructions; higher pressures are available from JCM on request.

Before You OrderConfirm the pipe OD and type; choose the restrained build only on steel, cast iron or ductile iron.
Anchor the pipe: the coupling joins the pipe but does not restrain it, so JCM calls for proper anchorage wherever the pipe could move out of the coupling.
