Description
The JCM 262 fabricated stainless steel coupling joins two plain-end pipes with a Type 304 stainless middle ring, carbon steel end rings with a resilient fusion plastic coating, and electrocoated alloy hardware, for the harshest soils, corrosive line contents, or both.
Straight builds join the same OD; reducing builds use the JCM G212 transition gaskets to join different ODs of the same nominal size. Oversized builds fit old cast iron, larger classes of A/C and other oversized pipe.
Typical application: Connection or repair in corrosive soils or line contents; transitions and oversized pipe.

Pipe anchorage, provided at install. The coupling joins but does not restrain the pipe.

12-Month Warranty
Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.
Working Pressure
150 PSI working pressure. JCM rates the 262 for 150 PSI working pressure when installed per its instructions; higher pressures are available from JCM. Inspection of pipe integrity is the installer's responsibility.

Before You OrderJCM notes that a purchase order for the 262 accepts its test procedure for ANSI/AWWA C219 (25 PSI pneumatic test); certification testing is available at extra charge.
Anchor the pipe: the coupling joins the pipe but does not restrain it, so JCM calls for proper anchorage wherever the pipe could move out of the coupling.
