Description
The JCM 242 optimum range ductile iron coupling covers the full range of pipe classes in each size from 3 through 16 in: one coupling fits SDR 35, IPS PVC, C900 PVC, ductile iron, steel, cast iron and A/C Classes 100, 150 and 200, which reduces inventory.
The long 10 in middle ring allows deeper pipe insertion and accommodates wide gaps between pipe ends. It is rated for 250 PSI working pressure and uses the maximum number of bolts for uniform tightening.
Typical application: Connection or repair: joins plain-end pipe and installs a repair section of pipe.

12-Month Warranty
Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.
Working Pressure
250 PSI working pressure. JCM rates this coupling for 250 PSI working pressure when installed per its instructions; higher pressures are available from JCM on request. Inspection of pipe integrity is the installer's responsibility.

Anchor the pipe: the coupling joins the pipe but does not restrain it, so JCM calls for proper anchorage wherever the pipe could move out of the coupling.
