Description
The JCM 214 pipe end cap coupling caps plain-end pipe quickly in permanent or temporary installations. It is furnished with a threaded outlet (2 in IPS; 1-1/2 in IPS on the 3.50 and 3.96 in sizes), often used as a test cap, air release or reduction to a smaller line extension.
It needs thrust blocks or restraint; restrained ends are available on 4 through 12 in by adding R to the catalog number (not for A/C, HDPE or PVC pipe).
Typical application: Capping plain-end pipe: test cap, air release or reduction to a smaller line.
Key Features
- No beveling, threading or exact pipe alignment needed; installs with a wrench
- Gaskets absorb vibration and pipe movement and let curves be laid with straight pipe
- Shop coat or fusion epoxy body, with low-alloy, E-Coat or stainless bolts
- Threaded outlet for test cap, air release or reduction
- Wide-range gaskets interchange with JCM G212 transition gaskets
What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the ductile iron sleeve (end cap body with threaded outlet), two followers, gaskets, and bolts and nuts in the build selected.
Thrust restraint, at install. The end cap needs a thrust block or restraint unless ordered with restrained ends.
Genuine JCM Industries equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
12-Month Warranty
Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.
Working Pressure
150 PSI working pressure. JCM rates this coupling for 150 PSI working pressure when installed per its instructions; higher pressures are available from JCM on request. Inspection of pipe integrity is the installer's responsibility.

From the JCM size tables. Finish and bolt builds: Shop Coat (standard primer) or Epoxy Coated body, each with low-alloy bolts, E-Coat (electrocoated) bolts or stainless bolts. Less Gaskets builds ship without gaskets for use with JCM G212 transition gaskets.
Before You OrderConfirm the pipe OD and type at each end before ordering.
Anchor the pipe: the coupling joins the pipe but does not restrain it, so JCM calls for proper anchorage wherever the pipe could move out of the coupling.
