Description

The JCM 210 ductile iron coupling uses the mechanical compression joint principle to join two plain-end pipes on cast iron, ductile iron, C900 PVC, DIPS HDPE and A/C Class 150 pipe. The flexible joint eliminates precise cutting and fitting in the field and allows deflection, limited expansion and contraction, pipe settlement and quick disassembly for maintenance.

Its wide-range gaskets interchange with the JCM G212 transition gaskets, so one coupling body joins A/C, cast iron, ductile iron, steel and PVC by changing only the gaskets.

Typical application: Connection or repair: joins plain-end pipe and installs a repair section of pipe.

Key Features

  • No beveling, threading or exact pipe alignment needed; installs with a wrench
  • Gaskets absorb vibration and pipe movement and let curves be laid with straight pipe
  • Shop coat or fusion epoxy body, with low-alloy, E-Coat or stainless bolts
  • Meets or exceeds ANSI/AWWA C219 for bolted sleeve-type couplings
  • Wide-range gaskets interchange with JCM G212 transition gaskets
What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: the ductile iron sleeve, two followers, two gaskets, and bolts and nuts in the build selected; Less Gaskets builds ship without the gaskets.

Pipe anchorage, provided at install. The coupling joins but does not restrain the pipe.

Genuine JCM Industries equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
12-Month Warranty

Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.

Working Pressure

150 PSI working pressure. JCM rates this coupling for 150 PSI working pressure when installed per its instructions; higher pressures are available from JCM on request. Inspection of pipe integrity is the installer's responsibility.

Materials Specifications
Sleeve and flanges Ductile iron, ASTM A536
Gaskets SBR per ASTM D2000, compounded for water, salt solutions, mild acids and bases, excellent abrasion resistance; not for oil, ozone or weather-resistant service
Temperature -40°F to +150°F constant; 180°F maximum intermittent
Bolts and nuts Corrosion-resistant high-strength low-alloy bolts per ASTM A242 (AWWA C111, ANSI A21.11), nuts per A563; 304 stainless optional
Finish Heavy coat of corrosion-resistant metal primer (shop coat); fusion epoxy optional

Before You OrderConfirm the pipe OD and type at each end before ordering.
Anchor the pipe: the coupling joins the pipe but does not restrain it, so JCM calls for proper anchorage wherever the pipe could move out of the coupling.
