Description

The JCM 168 fabricated lug lightweight all stainless steel clamp is an economical clamp for low pressure systems: joining plain-end pipe in slip lining, gravity and low pressure pipelines. For pressure applications, JCM points to its 161 fabricated lug stainless clamp.

A double band version is available as the JCM 169 on request.

Typical application: Joining plain-end pipe in slip lining, gravity sewer and low pressure pipelines.

What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: the clamp with its full-circumference gridded SBR gasket and molded-in stainless bridge plate, and Type 304 stainless studs and nuts attached to the fabricated lugs.

Pipe anchorage, provided at install. The clamp seals but does not restrain the pipe.

12-Month Warranty

Covered for 12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep the dated invoice as proof of purchase.

Working Pressure

Low pressure service. The 168 is built for slip lining, gravity and low pressure lines; JCM does not recommend it for joining plain-end pressure pipe. For pressure repairs choose the JCM 161.

Before You OrderConfirm the pipe OD before ordering.
Anchor the pipe: the clamp seals the full circumference but does not hold the pipe against lateral movement, so JCM calls for proper anchorage wherever the pipe could move out of the clamp.
