Description
The JCM 143 bell joint leak clamp repairs leaking bell and spigot joints on ductile iron, caulked-joint cast iron and C900 PVC pipe, and can be installed under pressure, as a repair or as low-cost insurance on older joints exposed during other work.
From 4 through 12 in it is a split, interlocking ductile iron ring design with a pre-cut gasket, complete for its nominal size with no special-order bolts or gaskets. From 14 through 36 in it is a fabricated steel, split bolt-on design whose sections compress the furnished gasket into the bell and spigot joint; these can be built for oversized, undersized or out-of-round pipe.
Typical application: Repair, temporary or permanent: leaking bell and spigot joints; especially recommended for large diameter pipe and high working pressures.

Bell and spigot ODs, 14 in and larger. Large sizes are based on industry-standard pipe tolerances; send the measured bell and spigot ODs so JCM can confirm the fit.

Rated by application. JCM rates the pressure capability of this clamp for each installation: it depends on pipe size and type, the type and extent of the damage or joint condition, line content, temperature and installation. Send us the pipe OD and type and the working and test pressures, and we will obtain JCM's rating and a submittal for your application.

Before You OrderFor 14 in and larger, send the measured bell and spigot outside diameters with the order.
Anchor the pipe: the clamp seals the full circumference but does not hold the pipe against lateral movement, so JCM calls for proper anchorage wherever the pipe could move out of the clamp.
