Grundfos 230S and 240S SP 6 in Submersible Pump End

The Grundfos 230S and 240S are the 230 and 240 GPM class of the SP 6 in submersible range, sold here as the pump end alone: stainless steel chambers and impellers with a built-in check valve, ready to mount on a submersible motor. Pump and impellers are AISI 304 stainless steel. Use it to rebuild an SP installation on a sound motor, or to build a pump around a motor you already have; the complete 230S and 240S pumps with Grundfos motors are listed separately.

Every 230S and 240S pump end has a Grundfos motor flange. Match the motor horsepower and diameter in the selector; send us the motor model and we will confirm the fit.

24 months from date of installation, but not more than 30 months from date of manufacture. In Grundfos's words, products are “warranted to the original user only to be free of defects in material and workmanship”; the full terms are in the installation and operating instructions on the Data Sheet tab.

Each pump end builds one pump for one well. For a duty/standby pair, or a flow outside the 230S and 240S range, send us the duty: the SP 6 in pump ends run from 90 to 300 GPM, and we will size the set with you.

The model code reads flow class, horsepower and stages: 240S250-9 is the 240S for a 25 HP motor with 9 stages. In the selector, choose the motor horsepower and diameter first, then the model; each model shows the head it adds at its rated flow. Order by part number; every build is in the Models & Ratings table.

• 230S and 240S: the Grundfos price list shows the 240S as the new model beside the current 230S, at the same list price. Both are listed here under their own part numbers (230S part numbers begin 15B). The 240S is the version in the current Grundfos SP data booklet; the 230S is not in it, so its selector value shows the rated flow without a head figure.
• Letters after the stage count (for example -4AB) mark builds with reduced-diameter impellers; the head figure for each build is in the selector and the Models & Ratings table.
• 230S750-20, 230S750-22, 240S600-20, 240S750-22: built into a stainless steel sleeve and supplied with an NPT male discharge (Grundfos price list and Product Center).
• Several models come in more than one motor size under different part numbers; the selector shows the motor size with the horsepower.
• 240S250-9, 240S500-14, 240S600-20, 240S750-22 are not in the Grundfos data booklet tables for their motor size, so no head figure is shown; ask us for the curve.
• 240S100-4AB (part 93404709) is printed as 2440S100-4AB; it is listed here as 240S100-4AB.
• 240S250-7 (part 93404711) is printed as 240S200-7; the price list HP column (25) and Product Center give 240S250-7; it is listed here as 240S250-7.
• 240S500-14 (part 93404718) is printed as 230S400-14 in the 240S column; Product Center gives 240S500-14; it is listed here as 240S500-14.
