What Ships and What It Needs to Run
Included: the pump with stainless steel housing and cast iron base, carrying handle, power cord and, except on the 5050CUSJ15, a float switch.
Float or control panel required on the 5050CUSJ15, ordered separately. Use a piggyback float or a control panel.
Sized at install: sealed sewage basin and lid, check and shutoff valves, discharge and vent piping, alarm.
Overview
This pump features a stainless steel housing and a cast iron base, built-in thermal overload protection and a permanent split capacitor, continuous-duty motor, with a carrying handle attached. It lifts up to 30 ft and easily passes 2 in solids through a non-clogging cast stainless steel vortex impeller.
Which switch fits your pit? A vertical float rides up and down on a rod beside the pump, so it works in narrow basins. A tethered float swings on its cord, so it needs more room but gives a longer run between starts. No-switch models run from a separate piggyback float or a control panel, the usual choice when a basin already has its own controls.

McDonald Pumps & Accessories price list, effective 7/1/26): 3 years from the date of installation: 5050CTSJ15, 5050CVSJ15, 5050CUSJ15. 1 year from the date of installation, or 2 years from the date of manufacture, whichever comes first: 5050CTSJH25. Per Baker’s terms, the warranty does not cover failure caused by sand or abrasive materials in the water.
