Included: the cast iron sewage pump with its float switch (tethered or vertical, per the model) and the power cord.
Float or control panel required on the 5050CUSJ, ordered separately. Use a piggyback float such as the DuraMAC replacement float switch, or a control panel.
Sized at install: sealed sewage basin and lid, check and shutoff valves, discharge and vent piping, alarm. Complete packages are on the DuraMAC Sewage Ejector Package listing.
With a rugged cast iron construction, the DuraMAC sewage pumps handle up to 80 GPM, lift up to 25 ft of vertical height and easily pass 2 in solids through a non-clogging cast stainless steel vortex impeller and 2 in discharge.
Which switch fits your pit? A vertical float rides up and down on a rod beside the pump, so it works in narrow basins. A tethered float swings on its cord, so it needs more room but gives a longer run between starts. No-switch models run from a separate piggyback float or a control panel, the usual choice when a basin already has its own controls.
Covered for 3 years from the date of installation under Baker Manufacturing’s published limited warranty (A.Y. McDonald Pumps & Accessories price list, effective 7/1/26). Per Baker’s terms, the warranty does not cover failure caused by sand or abrasive materials in the water.
Single pump. For more flow see the DuraMAC High Volume Sewage Pumps (to 140 GPM).

Gallons per minute at each total head, as printed by A.Y. McDonald. Total head is the vertical lift from the water level to the highest point of the discharge, plus pipe and fitting friction. A dash is a head the pump does not reach. Source: A.Y. McDonald Pumps by Baker catalog, rev 3/26, pp. 311 and 312.
| Water | Raw sewage with up to 2 in solids; plumbing codes call for 2 in solids handling when a toilet drains to the basin. |
| Discharge velocity | Codes require at least 2 ft/s in the discharge pipe: about 21 GPM in 2 in pipe. Check the table at your total head. |
| Basin | A sealed, vented sewage basin with a gasketed lid; check local code for vent size. |
| Alarm | A high-water alarm is good practice and required by many codes. |
| Check valve and shutoff | Fit a check valve and a full-port shutoff on the discharge. |
| Power | 120V single phase. |
