Grundfos 90S SP 6 in Submersible Well Pump

The Grundfos 90S is the 90 GPM class of the Grundfos SP submersible range, built for 6 in and larger wells. Pump, impellers and motor shell are AISI 304 stainless steel. Each build here is a complete pump: the 90S pump end and a Grundfos submersible motor, supplied together under one part number, with a 3 in NPT discharge.

Typical uses listed by Grundfos include groundwater supply, irrigation, residential water pressure boosting and municipal wells.

Builds from 1 HP to 7-1/2 HP run on a 4 in Grundfos MS402 or MS4000 motor. The 10 HP models come on a 4 in MS4000 or a 6 in MS6000C motor, and 15 HP to 40 HP run on the 6 in MS6000C. The 90S400-33, -36 and -39 are built into a stainless steel sleeve with an NPT male discharge, on a 6 in MS6000C or an 8 in MMS motor.

Single-phase builds (1 HP to 5 HP, 230V) use a 3-wire motor and run through a Grundfos control box, sold separately. Three-phase builds are available at 230V or 460V.

24 months from date of installation, but not more than 30 months from date of manufacture. Each 90S serves one well as a single unit. For a duty/standby pair across two wells, or a flow above what one 90S carries, send us the duty: the 160S, 230S and 300S cover higher flows in the same 6 in well range, and we will size the set with you.

The model code reads flow class, horsepower and stages: 90S100-8 is the 90S with a 10 HP motor and 8 stages. The same model can come in more than one build, so order by part number. In the selector, choose horsepower and motor size first, then voltage and phase (the button shows the wiring and whether a control box or starter is needed), then the model and stage count. • 90S100-8, -9 and -10 at 460V are offered on a 4 in motor or a 6 in motor. Each has its own part number and its own pump end.
• 90S75-7 is priced on a 7-1/2 HP motor at 230V and on a 10 HP 4 in motor (92959987) at 460V, so the 460V build sits under 10 HP in the selector.
• 90S400-33, -36 and -39 come on a 6 in or 8 in motor; every one of these is a sleeve build with an NPT male discharge.
