Overview

This Style 711 coupling insulates and transitions from a cast iron main to steel or polyethylene, sealing the cast iron end and gripping the steel or PE end against pullout.

Application: Tie-ins from cast iron gas mains to steel or PE replacement pipe.

  • Assembled stab design: little or no disassembly in the ditch
  • Metallic grip mechanism locks the pipe against pullout
  • PE pipe needs the matching color-coded insert stiffener
  • Every variant ends with the Dresser part number

Also needed: insert stiffener for PE pipe, sized to the pipe SDR (sold separately).

Working Pressure

Cast iron transition products carry a lower pressure rating than steel-to-steel 711 couplings; Dresser lists 60 PSI for the cast iron products in the Style 711 brochure.
