D Series Pump End Kit — No Motor
D Series close-coupled centrifugal pump ends, supplied without the motor, for rebuilding a pump on its existing NEMA 56C or JM motor.
Overview

D Series centrifugal pumps have heavy-duty cast iron bodies, and their dynamically balanced impellers reduce bearing loads and extend pump life.

Each kit is the complete pump end — volute, impeller, seal and motor adapter — for one pump model, connection, seal type, speed and motor frame, supplied without the motor. Franklin ships every pump end kit with the maximum-diameter impeller for the largest horsepower in the motor-frame range the kit fits; trimming and re-balancing the impeller for a smaller motor is the assembler’s job.

Every D Series kit carries Franklin’s standard mechanical seal: carbon x ceramic faces, EPDM elastomer and 18-8 stainless hardware (0.750 in on 56C kits, 1.250 in on JM kits through 15 HP, 1.750 in with Buna elastomer from 20 HP).

What Ships and What It Needs to Run

Included: the pump end kit selected above, identified by its kit model in the last option and its Franklin order number in the table below.

Motor: not included. The kit mounts on a NEMA 56C or JM close-coupled motor of the frame shown for the kit; reuse the existing motor or see our 56C motors, JM close-coupled motors.

Sizing: the motor must have the horsepower and service factor to carry the pump across its whole operating curve (Franklin’s kit note).

Genuine Franklin Electric equipment, factory-new in original packaging — sold and supported by Watermain Supply, an independent industrial supplier.
